As the Lead of the Conference and Major Events team at Engineers Australia, we are responsible for the strategy, planning and delivery of approximately 30 conferences, congresses and major events each year. These events range in scale and audience and span the full lifecycle — from tender and bid phase through to detailed planning, program development, delivery and post-event debrief. We manage all aspects of the event journey, including:
- Strategic bidding and tender submissions for major national and international conferences/congresses
- Program development across plenary, technical and social streams
- Initiatives designed to engage engineers at all career stages, from students and graduates to senior leaders
- Operational planning, stakeholder engagement, budget management and on-site execution
